Waggoner was an All-CSIC and All-Distict 16 performer in volleyball. As a senior, she helped the Lady Lions finish 42-6 and win their first-ever CSIC championship in volleyball. She was selected Southern’s most valuable player and best offensive player and was a second-team NAIA All-American.

Waggoner also was her team’s MVP and best offensive player in 1983 and earned honorable mention All-CSIC and first-team All-District 16 honors as a sophomore.

She graduated in 1984 with a 3.22 GPA in Marketing and Management and is married to Jeff, they have two kids Jordan and Hannah.
