Dr. Robert Lieurance- MSSU Team Physician

For the past 15 years, Dr. Lieurance has served as the official team orthopaedic physician for MSSU. He is also the team physician for Joplin High School. Dr. Lieurance has provided sports medicine at high school athletic events for 25 years and at college athletic events for 20 years.

Dr. Lieurance completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Arizona. He received his medical degree from the University of Arizona College of Medicine. While attending the University of Arizona, Dr. Lieurance played football and rugby.

Dr. Lieurance completed a sports medicine fellowship with Orthopaedic Medical Associates in Laguna Hills, California. He is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery.

Dr. Lieurance specializes in arthroscopic knee and shoulder reconstruction, shoulder and knee replacements, and general orthopaedics He has been a masters course instructor for the past 17 years, teaching arthroscopic techniques for shoulder reconstruction.

Amanda Wolf- Assistant Athletic Trainer

With nearly 29 years of athletic training experience, Amanda Wolf is in her 19th year as assistant athletic trainer at Missouri Southern State University. Wolf is the contact for all insurance and medical bill questions for the student-athletes at Southern.
 

A certified member of the National Athletic Trainers Association, Wolf came to the Lions after two years as the head athletic trainer at McPherson (Kan.) College. There, she worked with 14 activities at the NAIA Division II institution and taught courses in the physical education department. Wolf previously worked as a graduate assistant athletic trainer at Fort Hays (Kan.) State University, where she assisted with 16 NCAA Division II activities.
 

Wolf, a native of Nevada, Mo., graduated from Missouri Southern in 2000 with a bachelor's degree in health promotion & wellness. While a student at MSSU, Wolf served as a student athletic trainer under former head trainer Marty Conklin and helped with 17 Southern sports and activities.
 

She earned her master's degree in health, physical education and recreation, with an emphasis in exercise science and sports administration, from Fort Hays State in 2002.

Wolf and her husband, Kyle, have three daughters, Ava Grace, Leah and Mya. The couple currently reside in Webb City.

Alize Boatright - Assistant Athletic Trainer

Alize Boatright joined the Athletic Training staff at Missouri Southern in 2020. Her primarily sports are men's basketball and volleyball. 

Boatright came to Southern from MIAA member Rogers State where she worked with women's basketball, women's soccer and track and field. Her duties included rehab of all athletic injuries, gameday operations for all home and away events, and daily practices. She also provided secondary coverage for baseball, men's soccer, cheer and dance, as well as golf. 

Boatright is a native of Fort Smith, Ark. She has a BS in athletic training from Harding University and a MA in sport management from Central Arkansas.

Caleb Garton - Assistant Athletic Trainer
 

Caleb Garton became a member of the Missouri Southern Athletic Training staff in 2022. His primarily sports are football and baseball. 

Garton comes to Southern after three years working as an outreach athletic trainer for the Freeman Health System. He was primarily responsible for working with the student-athletes in the Neosho School District. 

Garton is a dual graduate of Midland University where he earned a BS in human performance with a concentration in athletic training and a minor in coaching in 2017. He went on to earn his masters degree in athletic training from Midland in 2019. 

Garton is a native of Joplin. 

Callie Tosh

Callie Tosh - Assistant Athletic Trainer
 

Callie Tosh joined the Missouri Southern Athletic Training staff midway through the 2023-24 school year. Her primarily sports are women's soccer and softball.

Tosh became an MSSU Lion after spending a year at Christian Brothers University. While there, Tosh was an Athletic Trainer for the NCAA Division II institution's baseball, volleyball, and women's track & field teams. She also spent time at Bryan College as an Assistant Athletic Trainer, and at Christus Trinity Mother Francis Sports Medicine as an Outreach Athletic Trainer. 

Tosh graduated with a Masters of Athletic Training from the University of Arkansas in 2021, and received her undergraduate degree in Kinesiology in 2019 from Ouachita Baptist University. 

Tosh is a native of Troup, Texas.
