Wright was inducted into the hall for meritorious service. He spent a total of six years as first equipment manager for the football Lions, then later as a student trainer. He earned a bachelor’s degree in marketing and management in 1979. He was described by former head coach Jim Frazier as an inspirational leader because of his hard work and dedication to the program.
