Prior to Southern
Clark prepped at Carl Junction High School under coach Todd Halfner, where he was a three-year letterwinner in football, competing at defensive end and linebacker. He earned All-Conference honors as a junior and senior and was named the Region Defensive Player of the Year as a junior. Clark was also a two-time All-Area and two-time All-Region defensive selection and earned Heart of a Bulldog honors for leadership. He was part of two seasons earning Defensive Player of the Year honors. In powerlifting, Clark finished as the state runner-up in the Class of 210 in 2025 and won the Class of 210 deadlift championship. He also competed in swimming, participating in the one-mile freestyle, 200 freestyle, 100 freestyle, 400 individual medley and 800 freestyle.
