Biography

Prior to Southern
Martin heads to MSSU after earning a trio of letters for football at McDonald County HS, playing quarterback and defensive back. As a senior he was named all-district for both sides of the ball along with an all-region athlete along with all-region and all-state honors as a defensive back. Over his career with the Mustangs, he totaled 1,489 passing yards, eight touchdowns, 1,358 rushing yards, 24 rushing touchdowns, 101 tackles, two tackles for loss, three interceptions, four pass breakups and a defensive touchdown. Martin earned all-conference laurels for both his offensive and defensive play his final two seasons. He helped McDonald County HS capture a district championship. Martin also was a member of the Mustangs track & field teams, earning all-state honors for the 4x400 meter relay (third place). He also was a state qualifier in the 4x200 meter relay.
