Prior to Southern
Vazquez, Jr. transfers to Missouri Southern after spending two seasons at Chadron State College in Chadron, Nebraska. The offensive lineman from Odessa, Texas, competed in 11 games with the Eagles in 2025 and helped CSC earn a berth into the NCAA Division II Football Playoffs with an 8-4 overall mark.

Vazquez, Jr. prepped at Odessa High School under coach Dusty Ortiz, where he was a four-year letterwinner in football, competing on the offensive line. He earned All-Conference honors as a junior and senior and was a two-time All-District selection in Texas Class 6A football. Vazquez also was a four-year letterwinner in powerlifting under coach Matt Vinson and was a four-time Texas high school powerlifting regional qualifier. He graduated from Odessa High School in 2024 before continuing his collegiate career at Chadron State College, where he was part of a team that advanced to the Division II playoffs.

Gerardo, the son of Lisbeth and Gerardo Vazquez, is pursuing a degree in Business Finance at Southern.
