Missouri Southern State University Athletics

Prior to Southern:
Messiah Smith, a running back from St. Louis, Missouri, attended Parkway North High School, where he earned four varsity letters in football from 2021 to 2024. During his high school career, he was named Athlete of the Year in his conference and set the all-time rushing record for his school. He also earned All-Metro honors and was named to the All-State Third Team as a running back. Smith was selected to play in the American Cancer Society Game and recognized as the Chevy Dealers of the Ozarks Athlete of the Week. In track and field, he competed all four years, winning 25 medals, placing 8th in the state, and securing a conference championship.
 
Personal:
Messiah is the son of Ebonie Murphy, brother to Joshua Smith and Moriah Smith. He is supported by his family, including his grandmother, Amanda Young, and uncles George and Jordan Young, he plans to pursue a degree in Psychology at Southern.
