Prior to Southern:
Coop Zimmer is a defensive end from Edwardsville, Ill., attending Althoff Catholic High School. Over his high school career, he earned varsity letters in football (2022-2024), wrestling, and baseball. In football, Coop started 26 consecutive games, playing both sides of the ball, and recorded over 200 tackles, 4 interceptions, and 20 sacks as an outside linebacker. He was named to the All-Metro Team in 2024 and helped lead his team to an IHSA State Championship. Coop also earned All-Area honors and served on the Leadership Council during the 2023-2024 season.

In wrestling, Coop posted a 25-1 record in his first two years on varsity, and he also competed in varsity baseball during his senior year. Academically, he was named to the Honor Roll in both 2023 and 2024.

Personal:
Coop is the son of Luke and Carla Zimmer, the brother to Carter, and the grandson of Pam Davis. He is currently undecided on his degree at Southern.
