Prior to Southern:
Jacob Shinkarevich is a linebacker from Logan Rogersville, Missouri, attending Logan Rogersville High School. Over the course of his high school career, he earned several athletic honors, including Class 4 All-State, All-District, and All-Area Defensive Player of the Year in 2024. Shinkarevich also earned All-Conference recognition in both 2024 and 2022. In 2024, he recorded 181 tackles, 21 tackles for loss, 1 sack, 1 interception, 4 forced fumbles, and 2 pass deflections. In 2022, he recorded 121 tackles.In addition to football, Shinkarevich competed in wrestling and track. Academically, he made the Honor Roll every year from 2021 to 2025.

Jacob, the son of Vasiliy Shinkarevich and step-mom Anna Shinkarevich, brother to Vita, Ian and Dennis, plans to pursue a degree in Business at Southern.
