Kansas City, Mo. – The Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association announced its Academic Awards for the 2024-25 men's and women's indoor track and field season. Missouri Southern had 41 men's and women's student-athletes named to the list.
Four hundred and fifty-three student-athletes from all 21 MIAA indoor track and field programs were named to the Association's Academic Honor Roll, while 43 athletes earned the league's Academic Excellence award and 36 were named Scholar-Athletes.

Earning MIAA Academic Honor Roll men's indoor track & field honors are Maksym Andurukhiv, Zaben Barnes, Roman Borboa, Luke Brumit, Kaden Cole, Jaden Deaton, Ethan Dias, Gabe Ford, Travis Greenfield, Matthew Haddock, Ryan Jackson, Caleb Manning, Peyton McBride, Geordan Patrylak, JaDarius Pigg, Miguel Solano Jr., Garrett Strange, Jackson Wahlgren, and Tyson Williams.
Earning MIAA Academic Honor Roll women's indoor track & field honors are Kayanna Adams, Alanna Bundy, Katie Candrl, Adrianne Casey, Claire Cole, Isabella Frost, Lilah Genel, Briar Gillum, Jayna Gunter, Lillian Hart, Emma Hobbs, Abby Hobbs, Alyssa Jerome, Keilee Johnson, Shelby Kihega, Mackenzie Mayer, Hailey Nelson, Zoe Nelson, Ashyiria Savage, Aubrey Skinner, Dailynn VanDeren, and Kyla Weems.
To earn a spot on the MIAA Academic Honor Roll a student-athlete must have a grade point average used by the institution for purposes of NCAA academic certification of 3.00 at the certifying member institution. The individual must also have at least two terms of attendance at the certifying member institution, excluding summer terms.
Caleb Manning and Dailynn VanDeren earned MIAA Scholar-Athlete honors.
An MIAA Scholar-Athlete is someone with a GPA of 3.50 or higher, as used for NCAA academic certification, and at least two terms of attendance at the certifying institution. The student-athlete must have also earned All-MIAA honors by placing in the top three in an event at the Association's 2025 Indoor Track and Field Championships to fully achieve MIAA Scholar-Athlete status.
The Lions would have Mackenzie Mayer, Emma Hobbs, and Abby Hobbs earn the Academic Excellence Award.
The league's prestigious Academic Excellence award was achieved by 43 student-athletes (30 women, 13 men) competing in the 2024-25 indoor track and field season. The Academic Excellence Award is given to student-athletes who have a grade point average used by the institution for purposes of NCAA academic certification of at least 4.00 at the certifying member institution. The honoree also must have at least two terms of grades reported at the certifying member institution, excluding summer terms.
