Prior To Southern
Wahlgren prepped at Mid-Buchanan High School under Coach Chris Spence, where he competed in the javelin. He set a personal best throw of 55.47m and was a two-time All-State recipient. A multi-sport athlete, Wahlgren also earned All-District and All-Conference honors in football and All-Conference honors in basketball.

Jackson, the son of Desire and JT Wahlgren, is pursuing a degree in Criminal Justice at Southern.
