Fraley wins the 200 and helps set 4x100 school record

Pittsburg, Kan. -- Missouri Southern sprinter Jeff Fraley won the 200m and helped the Lions to set the 4x100m school record today at the Gorilla Classic held at Pittsburg State. 

Fraley raced to a 20.99 in the 200m dash to win the event with a provisional time. Desmond Williams was sixth in the event, while Morgan Hold was 15th. 

Fraley, Williams, Jazz Allen and Erron Holley ran a 40.56 in the 4x100m relay, a provisional time, as well as braking the previous school record by a tenth of a second and winning the event. 

Holley placed fourth in the 100m dash, while Sam Kohrs and Anthony Price finished ninth and 13th in the 400m. Tom Zeilman finished fifth in the 800m in a time of 1:55.34, while Tyler Rush was 15th, Ben Southwick finished 17th, Colton Wooldridge was 21st and Andrew Webster was 25th. 

Rush placed third in the 1,500m with a time of 3:58.44, while Webster, Eric Schott and Southwick placed fifth, sixth and seventh. Jacob Coffman placed 13th in the eventh, while Wooldridge and Nathan Henry placed 21st and 22nd. 

Henry won the 5k in a time of 15:34.54, while Coffman placed fourth. Allen was fourth in the 110m hurdles, while the mile relay team of Kohrs, Zielman, Price and Williams placed ninth. 

Brady Melugin placed third inthe pole vault with a provisional leap of 16 feet, while Raymond Woldtvedt was fourth with a provisional height of 15-08.25. Hold placed sixth in the event. 

Williams was seventh in the long jump, while Jacob Rowe and Kennan Harrison placed eighth and 11th. Darion Boure was second in the triple jump with a provisional leap of 49-07.25, while Harrison was third with a jump of 48-06.00. 

Tyler Hovey was sixth in the shot put, while Bryan Burns placed eighth. Nicklas Polizzi was fourth in the discus, while Hovey and Burns placed sixth and seventh. Polizzi and Burns were fifth and sixth in the hammer, while Hovey placed tenth. Zach Williams was fifth in the javelin, while Mitchell Hilger placed 11th. 

The Lions will be back in action next week with split action at both the KU Relays and Mule Relays, as well as competing at Missouri S&T on Saturday.
