2015 - Indoor - Hovey started off the indoor season with a second-place showing in the shot put at the MSSU Early Bird, tossing it 50-02.50 ... Hit a season-best of 51-03.5 for a fifth-place finish at Oklahoma Baptist and was a second-place finisher in the shot put at Central Missouri a week later ... Placed 14th in the weight throw and seventh in the shot put at the MIAA Indoor Championships. 
Outdoor - Opened the outdoor season with a fourth-place showing at Saint Louis in the Discus, throwing a distance of 155-2 ... Hit 53-03.50 for a sixth-place finish in the shot at Pittsburg State ... Followed that up wiath a mark of 157-07 in the discus at the same meet ... hit a mark of 159-04 for a fifth place finish in the discus at Central Missouri ... hit a season-high of 162-06 in the discus to place seventh at the MIAA Outdoor Championships.

Prior to Southern - At Iowa Central Community College Hovey was the 2014 JuCo National Champion in Shot Put & placed fifth in Discus, earning All-American honors...a four sport athlete at Atlantic HS...is the Iowa High School Athletic Association Class 3A record holder in discus with 187'9"...earned first team All-District honors for the football Trojans...first team All-Conference honors on the baseball diamond...helped the basketball Trojans to a conference title.

Personal - A Criminal Justice major at Southern...son of Mark and Robyn Peterson.
