2011-12 - Outdoor -  A NCAA Championships qualifier as a true freshman, Polizzi finished 10th in the discuss, narrowly missing out on All-American honors, with a throw of 167-11 ... Took third in the discuss at the MIAA Championships with a toss of 167-09 while placing 13th in the hammer throw with a throw of 142-04 ... Took eighth in the discuss at the Emporia Twilight Meet where he tossed 156-05 ... Took second in the discuss at the Williams/Leptad Invite with a toss of 164-03.

Prior to Southern - Polizzi comes to Southern from Limburg, Germany … Polizzi is one of the more decorated throwers in Germany, consistently ranking in the top ten in his age group, with his personal best in the discus topping 175 feet ... the son of Antonio and Nicole Polizzi, Nicklas is undecided on his future major at Southern.
