2015 - Indoor - Melugin placed sixth in the MSSU Lion Invite with a height of 15-05.50 ... Placed fourth at the MIAA Championships with a height of 15-09.25. 
Outdoor - Opened up the outdoor season with a height of 15-07.25 to win the Wendy's/PSU Invitational ... posted a height of 16 feet two weeks later at Pittsburg ... placed sixth at the KU Relays with a height of 15-09.25, while earning a fourth-place finish at the MSSU Last Chance, clearing 15-10. 

2014 -  Indoor - Placed third at the MSSU "Southern" Invite pole vault event with a vault of 4.55m (14-11)... Took third in pole vault event with a vault of 5.05m (16-6.75) at the 2014 Jayhawk Classic... Set a career-best vault with a 5.11m (16-9.25) second place finish at the MSSU Lion Invite... Placed fourth at the 2014 OBU Indoor Invite with a vault of 4.70m (15-5)... Named All-MIAA with a second place 5.03m (16-6) vault in the MIAA Championships... Finished eighth at the NCAA Division II Indoor Track and Field Championships with a vault of 4.90m (16-0.75). Outdoor - Won the PSU "Wendy's" Invite with a vault of 5.02m (16-5.5)... Placed third in the State Farm Emporia State Relays pole vault event with a vault of 4.75 (15-7)... Placed second in the Missouri S&T "Dewey Allgood" Invite with a 4.64 (15-2.75) vault... Set a season high vault with a 5.05m (16-6.75) result at the MSSU Invite... Finished eighth with a 4.83m (15-10) vault at the MSSU Last Chance event...

2013 - Indoor - Competed in pole vault at the UCM Classic with a height of 4.53m (14-10.25)...Took third at the MSSU Lion Invite with a season-best vault of 4.65m (15-3)...Finished sixth in the pole vault (4.61m) at the Missouri Invitational...Vaulted 4.35m (14-3.25) at the MSSU Open Invitational... Finished fifth at the MSSU Early Bird Open with a vault of 4.48m (14-8.25)... Outdoor - Finished in a tie for fourth with teammate John Lowe in the pole vault at the MIAA Championships vaulting 15-11.75... Vaulted 4.82m (15-9.75) at the MSSU Last Chance Meet taking sixth... Finished fourth at the Bill Williams/ Bob Laptad Invite vaulting 4.66m (15-3.5)... Finished second at the Dewey Allgood Invite hosted by Missouri S&T vaulting 4.76m (15-7.25)...Finished third in the pole vault at the PSU Gorilla Classic vaulting 4.88m (16-0)... Finished fourth in the pole vault at the ESU Relays vaulting 4.45m (14-7.25)... Finished fifth at the season-opening PSU Wendy's Invite vaulting 4.52m.

Prior to Southern - Melugin was a three-year letterwinner in track and field at Nixa High School ... his junior season, he was an All-State honoree with a fifth-place finish in the pole vault ... He sat out his senior season with a knee injury. 

Personal - Melugin is the son of Darren and Rosalee Melugin ... He is a business major at Southern.
