BOLIVAR, Mo. — Missouri Southern turned in a strong showing in the javelin at the SBU Invitational on Saturday, highlighted by a pair of NCAA qualifying marks on the women's side and a podium finish for the men.
Mary Moore led the way for the women with a fifth-place finish and an NCAA qualifying mark of 45.37m, while
Rylie Moore followed closely behind in sixth at 45.02m, also securing a qualifying mark.
Mackenzie Mayer added a 10th-place finish with a throw of 41.25m, and
Maggie Kauk placed 11th.
On the men's side,
Richard Johnson paced the Lions with a third-place finish after a throw of 57.65m.
Jackson Wahlgren also turned in a solid performance, placing fifth with a mark of 55.67m to round out the day for Missouri Southern.
