Biography

Prior to Southern - Owens earned three letters at safety and wide receiver for Sherman HS...during his three years playing for the Bearcats earned second team All-Conference honors...voted wide receiver of the year for Sherman HS...caught 76 passes for 784 yards...also earned two letters in track and field competing in the triple and long jumps and running the 100m, 200m, and 4x100m relay...set personal bests of 21 feet in the long jump and 42'4 in the triple jump.
