2017 -  Saw action in seven games with four starts on the offensive line...his four starts came in the teams final five games of the season....one of 22 lions to land on the MIAA Academic Honor roll (3.59 GPA).

Prior to Southern - Montgomery was a three sport athlete for the Houn Dawgs of Aurora (Mo.) HS...earned three letters at defensive end and offensive tackle...was a two-time All-Big 8 honorable mention selection as a junior and senior...earned second team All-State from the Missouri Football Coaches Association (MFCA) and Missouri Media at offensive tackle during his senior season...was a first team All-District OT, All-Area honorable mention at both OT and DL during his senior year...helped lead the Houn Dawgs to the 2015 Missouri State High Schools Activities Association (MSHSAA) Class 3 District 4 Championship and a MSHSAA Class 3 State Semi-final appearance...earned two letters at center for coach Daniel Cutbirth and the basketball Houn Dawgs...also earned two letters in shot put and discus for his father (Philip) and Rick Scholten as a member of the track and field team at Aurora HS.
