2017 -  Saw action in 10 games while starting at strong saftey in the team's first two games of the season...recorded 12 tackles (7 solo, 5 ast.) along with one pass breakup.

2016 - Played in ten games with four tackles ... also had a forced fumble and a fumble recovery. 

Prior to Southern -Cowling prepped at Pike County High School for coach Fred Holland ... Holland was named an All-State second-team selection, while also being named Super 12 as well as an All-Area pick ... Also a member of the basketball team at his school, he was an All-Area pick as a point guard for the Bulldogs.

Personal -Cowling is the son of Aquilla Gray ... He intends to major in computer engineering at MSSU.
