Prior to Southern - Broce comes to Southern after two years at Hutchinson CC where he was an All-Conference punter for the Blue Dragons … As a sophomore, Broce had 62 punts for 2,360 yards and an average of 38.1 per kick … He had a long of 71, five touch backs, 20 inside the 20 and eight of more than 50 yards, all while helping Hutch to the conference title and the Salt City Bowl… Broce is a native of Pretty Prairie, Kan. where he prepped at Pretty Prairie HS … A multi-sport athlete in high school, Broce was an All-State defensive back and receiver … As a basketball player, he earned All-State honors, and was also part of a state qualifying 4x100 and 4x400 track team … the son of Deoan Broce and Beth Smith … His brother plays football at Northwestner Oklahoma … Broce plans to major in kinesiology at Southern.
