Prior to Southern - redshirted his freshman year at the University of Tulsa...was a four sport athlete of the Bulldogs of Skiatook HS...earned four letters on the gridiron at running back for coach Vance Miller...rushed for 2,519 yards and 32 touchdowns during his senior season...earned first team All-State, All-Star, and All-Conference honors...was selected as the Channel 6 Bob Hurley Ford Athlete of the Year...helped the Indians to the Oklahoma Secondary School Activities Association (OSSAA) Class 5A State Runner-up...earned four letters in track and field...had a personal best 22-08.25 and won the Class 5A State championship in the long jump and finished eighth as a freshman at the Class 5A state championships...was a four time letter winner on the mat qualifying for the OSSAA Class 5A state tournament...also earned two letters as a member of the SHS cheer squad.

Personal - son of Leslie and Boone McLaughlin...plans to major in pre-law at Southern.
