Warrensburg, Mo. -- The Missouri Southern women's track and field team saw another record fall and had three event wins as the Lions competed at the Central Missouri Mule Relays today.
On top of the three event wins, the Lions saw three provisional marks and one automatic qualifying mark on the day.
Morgan Smith won the 60m hurdles and broke her own school record again, this time racing to a time of 8.70 in the finals, good enough for a provisional mark.
Allie Heckemeyer picked up a win in the triple jump with a provisional distance of 38-08.75, while she was third in the long jump and 26th in the shot put.
Tiffany Gilford was second in the triple jump with a distance of 36-03.00, while
Sierra Barrett was third leaping to a distance of 35-03.25. In the long jump, Gilford placed 10th and Barrett was 11th.
Emily Presley won the pole vault once again, her fourth meet in a row, this time picking up another automatic qualifying height of 13-05.25.
Mylene Loridan was fourth with a provisional height of 11-09.75, while
Samantha Donnell was eighth.
Destiny Akannam was second in the 200m, racing to a time of 26.11, while
Kristen Koch was 18th and Heckemeyer placed 20th.
Kelsey Evans was 11th in the 600y with a time of 1:29.93, while
Rachel Ray crossed the line in a time of 1:31.12 for 13th place.
Sara Lin was 11th in the 800m in a time of 2:26.69, while
Ronise Miller placed 22nd in the 400m with a time of 1:04.61.
Halee Cashio was eighth in the weight throw with a distance of 47-09.00.
The Southern men will be at it tomorrow in the men's portion of the Mule Relays and the whole team will be back in action next Friday and Saturday as the Lions are back at home, hosting the Lion Open.
