PITTSBURG, Kan. – Missouri Southern delivered a strong performance highlighted by multiple event victories, personal records and NCAA qualifying marks across the field and track events at the Pittsburg State Invitational Saturday.

Dailynn VanDeren led the Lions in the throws, sweeping the women's weight throw (19.84m, PR) and shot put (15.49m), both NCAA qualifiers, while Briar Gillum added runner-up finishes and qualifying marks in both events. On the men's side, Drake Willenborg won the weight throw with a PR 19.96m, and Cedric Pearson captured the shot put title with a PR 18.72m as both earned NCAA marks. Lucas Trotter placed second in the shot put with a PR 17.63m, also qualifying.

In the jumps, Travis Greenfield finished second in the men's pole vault (4.91m, NCAA qualifier), and Carter Zbaren won the men's high jump (1.99m).

On the track, Chase Sorrell ran a PR 4:05.42 to place third in the men's mile and earn an NCAA qualifying mark. Maksym Andurukhiv (7.95) and Aryah Moore (8.67) added NCAA qualifiers in the 60-meter hurdles, while Rylan Wilson recorded a qualifying mark in the 400 meters (48.13). The men's 4x400-meter relay finished seventh in 3:19.59.
