Joplin, Mo. -- Morgan Hold won the pole vault and picked up a big provisional as the Missouri Southern men's track and field team hosted the MSSU Last Chance today.
Hold vaulted to a height of 16-08.00. That mark is a provisional height and ranks tenth in Division II. Brady Melugin also hit a provisional height of 15-10 to finish fourth.
Erron Holley and Anthony Price placed second and fourth in the 100m dash, while Sam Kohrs won the 800m in a time that bested his previous fast time by three seconds.
Jazz Allen finished third in the 110m hurdles in a provisional time of 14.47, while Colton Wooldridge and Nathan Henry placed second and third in the 400m hurdles.
Jacob Rowe won the long jump in a distance of 23-00.75, while Darion Boure was third. Bryan Burns placed fourth in the shot put with a provisional heave of 54-07.25, while Tyler Hovey and Tanner Erhart placed fifth and eighth.
Nicklas Polizzi won the discus in a provisional distance of 174 feet, while Burns and Hovey placed third and fourth. Erhart was seventh in the hammer, while Zach Williams and Mitchell Hilger placed first and second in the javelin.
The Lions will now wait to see who has qualified for nationals and will be competing in Allendale, Mich. on May 21-23.
