Missouri Southern State University Athletics

Prior to Southern – Herrera played in and started all 17 matches during her sophomore season at Northeastern Oklahoma A&M (NEO) allowing just 12 goals in 1,422 minutes of action. Herrera 90 saves while finishing with a 10-6-1 record with six shutouts. For her play during her sophomore season, Herrera was named the National Junior College Athletics Association (NJCAA) Division 1 goalkeeper of the week and the NJCAA D1 Region 2 Goalkeeper of the Year. During her freshman season (2015), Herrera played in 16 matches with 10 starts allowing 17 goals in 1,068 minutes of action. Recorded 61 saves while going 8-3-0 and recording four shut outs. In high school, Herrera earned first team All-District honors all four years at Princeton HS. She was also the MVP her freshman season and earned second team All-Region honors during her junior campaign for the Panthers and coach Michelle Estes. During her senior year, Herrera helped lead the Panthers to a University Interscholastic League (UIL) Class 4A runner up finish.
 
Personal – Daritsa is the daughter of Felipe Herrera and plans to major in biology/occupational therapy at Southern.
