Missouri Southern State University Athletics

Prior to Southern – Gimlin led the defense of the Nixa HS Eagles and coach Evan Palmer as they won a Missouri State High Schools Activities Association (MSHSAA) Class 3 District 11 and two MSHSAA Class 4 District 10 and one MSHSAA Class 4 District 11 titles. In 2014 Nixa advanced to the MSHSAA Class 3 quarterfinals before falling to eventual third place finisher Jefferson City. In 2015, the Eagles once again advanced to the quarterfinals this time falling to the Lee’s Summit Tigers in the MSHSAA Class 4 tournament. The 2016 edition of the soccer Eagles again bowed out to the third-place Tigers in the quarterfinals and in 2017 Nixa HS lost to Lee’s Summit West HS in the opening round of the state playoffs. Gimlin also played basketball for the Eagles under coach John Stock.
 
Personal – Elizabeth is the daughter of Missouri Southern alumni Dean and Jenifer Miller and plans to major in biology at Southern. Elizabeth was the high school teammate of fellow Lion Bailey Hunsicker.
