Monkey Island, Okla. – The Missouri Southern men's golf team shot a 305 in round three and the Lions placed 13
th at the MSSU Fall Invitational hosted at Shangri-La Country Club.
Tradgon McCrae led the way for the Lions and finished tied for 14
th with a 54-round total of 221. McCrae had three birdies over the final 18 holes.
Ben Epperly was tied for 36
th after a final-round 73 gave him a score of 227 over 54 holes. Epperly had four birdies and an eagle in the final round.
Ben Marckmann had four birdies and shot 74 in the final round to finish with a score of 231, while
Connor Williamson shot a 238 and
Dylan Bagley had a 251.
Fielding Campbell (238) and
Lukas Schreck (241) competed as individuals for the Green and Gold.
Missouri-St. Louis took the team title after winning a playoff hole with Henderson State to determine the championship. Oklahoma Christian was third, followed by Central Oklahoma, St. Mary's (Texas), UT Permian Basin, Maryville, Missouri Western, Northeastern State, Fort Hays State, West Texas A&M, Oklahoma City, the Lions, Southwestern Oklahoma, Drury, Southern Nazarene, Southeastern Oklahoma, Newman and Crowder College to round out the team scores.
The Lions will be back in action on Oct. 10 when Southern travels to St. Joseph to take part in the MWSU Invitational hosted at St. Joseph Country Club.
