JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. — Missouri Southern men's golf opened play at the MIAA Championships on Monday at Jefferson City Country Club.

Zachary Gardner led the Lions in round one with a 75 (+3) to sit in a tie for 27th place after 18 holes. Britten Coy and Max Templeman each posted 76s (+4) and are also tied for 27th. Owen Derryberry sits in 34th after carding a 77 (+5), while Connor Goens is in 45th following a 79 (+7) to round out the scoring lineup.

The Lions will continue play at the three-day championship with round two on Tuesday.
