Spring Hill, Kan. -- The Missouri Southern men's golf team is in ninth place after day two of the 2018 MIAA Golf Championships held at Sycamore Ridge Golf Club in Spring Hill, Kan.
The Lions shot a 309 as a team today and sit 27 strokes back of first-place Lindenwood.
Tristan Haltom shot a one-under 71 today and sits at even par for the tournament, tied for fifth place overall. Haltom hit two birdies on the front nine and two on the back to finish his round today.
Logan Greer shot a 73 today and is at six-over par 150 for the tournament, tied for 28th.
Taylor Haltom is tied for 41st with a 154 two-day total, while
Grant Sikes is tied for 44th with a two-day score of 155.
Connor Neil has a two-day score of 160.
Lindenwood leads Central Missouri and Nebraska-Kearney by 12 strokes going into tomorrow's final round as the Mules and Lopers are tied at 586. Wasbhurn is in fourth, followed by Central Oklahoma and Fort Hays State tied for fifth. Northeastern State is in seventh, followed by Missouri Western, Southern, Southwest Baptist and Lincoln to round out the team scores.
Southern will tee off in the last group tomorrow with the first pairing going off at 9:20 am and others following in ten-minute increments.
