ROGERS, Ark. — Missouri Southern started play Monday at the Men's Shadow Valley Invitational, hosted by the University of Arkansas-Fort Smith at Shadow Valley Country Club (par 72).
Connor Goens opened with a 70 (-2) to tie for first and followed with a 68 (+3), sitting at +1 overall through 36 holes and remaining in contention.
Max Templeman backed up his first-round 74 (+2) with an even-par 72 to sit at +2 overall. Zachary Gardner (74-74) is at +8, Britt Coy (82-77) stands at +15, and Tucker Ford (75-76) is at +18.
The Lions conclude play Tuesday morning with the final round beginning at 8 a.m.
