WARRENSBURG, Mo. — The Missouri Southern men's golf team finished third at The Mule, hosted by the University of Central Missouri at Mules National Golf Course – Keth Memorial GC.
The Lions finished the three-round tournament at +11, placing third in the team standings.
Jones Vrska led Missouri Southern with a fourth-place finish at 6-under par. Vrska opened the tournament with a 69 (-1) in the first round before firing a 67 (-3) in the second round. He closed out the tournament with a 68 (-2) in the final round to finish with a three-round total of 204.
Ethan Small also posted a strong performance for the Lions, tying for seventh place at even par. Small matched Vrska with a 69 (-1) in the opening round before carding a 67 (-3) in the second round. He finished with a 74 (+4) in the final round for a three-round total of 210.
Maxwell Templeman finished tied for 19th at +4. Templeman opened with an even-par 70, followed with a 71 (+1) in the second round and finished with a 73 (+3) in the final round.
Thomas Walker finished tied for 50th at +13. Walker recorded rounds of 75 (+5), 73 (+3) and 75 (+5) for the tournament.
Zach Gardner rounded out the Missouri Southern lineup, finishing 87th at +22. Gardner posted a 78 (+8) in the opening round, a 79 (+9) in the second round and an 87 (+15) in the final round.
The Lions placed three golfers inside the top 20, highlighted by Vrska's fourth-place finish and Small's top-10 performance.
Missouri Southern will look to build on its third-place finish as the Lions continue their 2026-27 season.
