WARRENSBURG, Mo. — Missouri Southern sits in third place after the opening day of The Mule at Mules National Golf Course – Keth Memorial GC, hosted by the University of Central Missouri.

The Lions finished the first two rounds at one-over par (+1) as a team. Jones Vrska and Ethan Small led Southern, each finishing the day at four-under par (-4) after opening rounds of 69 (-1) and second-round scores of 67 (-3).

Maxwell Templeman finished the day at one-over par (+1), carding rounds of 70 (E) and 71 (+1). Thomas Walker posted rounds of 75 (+5) and 73 (+3), while Zachary Gardner finished with rounds of 78 (+8) and 79 (+9).

The Lions will return to Mules National Golf Course tomorrow for the final round of The Mule.
