Mountain Home, Ark. -- The Missouri Southern men's golf team placed sixth and
Tristan Haltom was tied for eighth individually as the Lions competed in the Henderson State University Southern Bancorp Invite today, hosted at Big Creek Country Club.
The Lions were led by
Tristan Haltom's two-round, six-over 150 as he was tied for eighth overall.
Taylor Haltom shot a 154 and was tied for 21st, while
Logan Greer hit a 156 and was tied for 34th.
Grant Sikes was tied for 34th with a 159, while
Connor Neil shot a 160 and was tied for 37th.
Adam Vining and
Jon Lenz competed as individuals, with Vining carding a 161 and Lenz shooting a 166.
The Lions improved four strokes as a team from round one to two, shooting a 310 in round one and a 306 in round two. Host Henderson State is in first with a 597 while Southern Arkansas is three strokes back. Northwestern Oklahoma State is in third, followed by Missouri S&T, John A Logan CC, Southern and Southern Nazarene to round out the team totals.
The teams will play a final 18 holes starting tomorrow morning.
