Edmond, Okla. -- The Missouri Southern Golf team is in 14th place after day one at the Broncho Stampede, hosted by the University of Central Oklahoma at Rose Creek Golf Club.
Connor Neil led the Lions with a two-round total of 153 to finish tied for 36th after one day.
Tristan Haltom shot a 157, while
Taylor Haltom finished at 165.
Logan Greer shot a 167 and
Adam Vining finished at 169.
Missouri Western is leading the tournament with a 573, six strokes in front of Lindenwood. Central Oklahoma is third, followed by Central Missouri, Washburn, Nebraska-Kearney, Murray State, Central Oklahoma's b team, Fort Hays State, Southern Nazarene, Northeastern State, Southwest Baptist, Lincoln and Southern to round out the team scores.
This is the first of two MIAA points events this spring. A final 18 holes will be played tomorrow morning.
