Fort Smith, Ark. -- The Missouri Southern men's golf team finished in sixth place overall today at the 2018 Arkansas-Fort Smith Hardscrabble Invite held at Hardscrabble Country Club in Fort Smith.
The Lions shot a final-round 304 to finish at 903 for the tournament. No. 23 ranked Texas A&M Commerce finished three strokes in front of host and No. 40 ranked Arkansas-Fort Smith for the team title with a three-round score of 846. UAFS was second, followed by Midwestern State, Rogers State, Cameron, Southern, Northwestern Oklahoma State, Lubbock Christian and Central Baptist to round out the team scores.
Freshman
Taylor Haltom was the top scorer for the Lions as he finished 16-over for the tournament with a three-round total of 226, tied for 26th overall.

Tristan Haltom and
Connor Neil all shot a three-round score of 227 to finish tied for 30th.
Adam Vining rebounded and had the top score for the Lions today, posting a 74 to finish at 233, tied for 42nd.
Southern will be back in action next week as they travel to Oklahoma City to take part in the first of two-straight MIAA points events this spring. The Lions will head to Gaillardia Country Club to participate in the University of Central Oklahoma Broncho Classic.
