Edmond, Okla. -- The Missouri Southern golf team finished 12th overall and
Connor Neil was 12th individually as the Lions competed at the UCO Broncho Invite held at Oak Tree Golf Club in Edmond.
Neil shot a first-round 79 and followed that up with a 73 in the final round to finish tied for 12th at 153.
Tristan Haltom was tied for 32nd with a 157, while
Taylor Haltom shot a 163.
Grant Sikes shot a 166, while
Logan Greer shot a 169.
Tripper Jensen, playing as an individual shot a 172.
The Lions, as a team, improved their round one to round two total by 25 strokes to shoot a two-round score of 637. Central Oklahoma's A team finished first with a total of 597, while Harding was second at 608. Arkansas Tech was third, followed by Oklahoma Christian, Midwestern State, Central Oklahoma B, Southern Nazarene, Northeastern State, Southwestern Oklahoma, Newman, Oklahoma Baptist, Southern, Henderson State, Southwest Baptist and Southern Arkansas to round out the team scores.
The Lions will be in action next week as Southern competes in the St. Edwards Classic at Onion Creek CC in Austin, Texas.
