Pittsburg, Kan. -- Missouri Southern freshmen Claire Luallen and Miracle Grant competed for the Lions today at the Pittsburg State Boo Rogers Combined Events held today at the Plaster Center on the campus of Pittsburg State.

Luallen finished eighth in the heptathlon, while Grant was 16th. Luallen finished with an NCAA provisional qualifying mark of 3,286 points in the event, while Grant finished with 2,670 points.

Luallen started things off with a win in the 60m hurdles finishing in a time of 8.88. Grant was 13th in that event, while Luallen finished sixth in the high jump with a height of 5-01.25 and Grant was 12th at 4-09.75. Luallen and Grant finished 15th and 17th in the shot put, while Luallen was ninth in the long jump and Grant was 16th. Luallen finished off the event with a 12th place finish in the 800m and Grant was 17th.

The Lions will conclude the meet tomorrow with the rest of the events beginning at 11:30 am.
