Men's Golf Signs Jeremy Dunham for the 2017-18 Season

Joplin, Mo. - Missouri Southern Men's Golf head coach Mike Wheeler announced the addition of Jeremy Dunham for the 2017-18 season.

"I am excited to welcome Jeremy to the Missouri Southern family," said Coach Wheeler. "As a junior college transfer, Dunham brings experience at the collegiate level to the recruiting class. I am looking forward to getting him on campus and seeing what he has to offer while at Southern."

The 6'1 native of Derby, Kan., Dunham comes to Southern after two seasons at Kansas City Kansas Community College (KCK). Dunham played in 11 tournaments last season for the KCK Blue Devils with eight top 10 finishes and four top five finishes highlighted by a second-place finish at the Ottawa Spring Invitational held at Eagle Bend Golf Course in Lawrence, Kan. Dunham also tied for third at the Bethel Spring Invitational at Heston/Sand Creek in Newton, Kan. with a two round 144, one stroke off the winners. The other top five finishes came in the fall season with a fourth place and the tournament low round of 69 at the Red Raven Invitational at Adams Municipal Golf Course in Bartlesville, Okla. and a fifth-place finish at the Ottawa Invitational with a 5-over 149 at Eagle Bend GC.

In high school, Jeremy was a three-time state qualifier where he helped the Panthers of Derby HS to a seventh-place finish in 2014. He was also a quarterback on the 2013 Kansas State High School Activities Association (KSHSAA) Class 6A State Champions. Dunham was also the league MVP on the hardwood for the Panthers.

Dunham is the son of Kevin and Rhonda Dunham and will major in business management at Southern.

The Lions will open the 2017-18 season with a MIAA points event hosted by Central Missouri at the Mules National Golf Club in Warrensburg. The 54-hole tournament is scheduled for September 11-12.
