Kansas City, Mo. -- The Missouri Southern men's and women's track and field team has had 24 individuals named to the MIAA Academic Honor Roll the league announced recently.
To achieve honor roll status, a student-athlete must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.00 and have at least two terms of attendance at the certifying member institution, excluding summer terms.
Of those 24, three (
Desirea Buerge,
Emily Harris,
Allie Heckemeyer and
Christian Provence) earned the MIAA's Scholar-Athlete Award. The Scholar-Athlete Award is given to those who have a cumulative grade point average of 3.50, have at least two terms of attendance at the certifying member institution, excluding summer terms, and, if competing in a championship sport of the MIAA, earn All-MIAA honors.
The complete list of those earning Academic Honor Roll status is below. The MIAA will announce the Academic Honor Roll for first-year and transfer players, as well as all Presidential Scholars later this month.
