Topeka, Kan. -- The Missouri Southern golf team improved by a stroke over its round one score today as the Lions finished in 11th place over all at the Washburn Fall Invitational at Topeka Country Club.
Freshman
Taylor Haltom led the Lions as he shot a two-under final round score of 69. Haltom finished tied for eighth place overall with a three-round score of 218.
Connor Neil finished tied for 47th with a three-round score of 231, while
Tristan Haltom shot a 233 to finish tied for 63rd.
Tripper Jensen shot a 234 to finish tied for 67th, while
Adam Vining shot a 237 to finish tied for 71st.
Lindenwood and Central Oklahoma finished tied, but Lindenwood won a playoff hole to take the team title. Washburn was third, followed by Winona State, Central Missouri, Missouri Western, Southwest Baptist, Northeastern State, Rockhurst, St. Cloud State, Southern, Upper Iowa, Minot State, Nebraska-Kearney, Concordia-St. Paul, Fort Hays State and Lincoln to round out the team totals.
After the fall events, Central Oklahoma leads the MIAA team standings with 21.5 points, Washburn is second with 19, while Lindenwood is third with 16.5 points. Missouri Southern is in sixth with 12 points.
