St. Charles, Mo. -- The Missouri Southern men's track and field team sits in third place and had two All-MIAA performances on day two of the 2015 MIAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships hosted by Lindenwood University.
Jeff Fraley looked to continue on his strong indoor performance as the junior qualified first in both the 100m (10.43) and the 200m (21.03), both being provisional marks.
The Lions picked up a pair of All-MIAA performances as Eric Schott was second in the 10k with a time of 30:51.54. Andrew Webster placed fifth in the event. Nicklas Polizzi placed third in the discus with a provisional mark of 174-11. Bryan Burns and Tyler Hovey placed sixth and seventh in the event.
Burns placed fourth in the hammer, while Polizzi and Hovey placed seventh and 12th. Desmond Williams placed sixth in the long jump with a provisional distance of 23-09.50, while Jacob Rowe was ninth and Darion Boure finished 11th. Kennan Harrison placed 20th.
Jazz Allen and Jayce Thomas both qualified for the finals of the 110m hurdles, while Thomas Hawkins qualified for the finals of the 400m dash. Tom Zielman just missed out on qualifying for the finals of the 800m, but Allen qualified for the finals of the 400m hurdles, running a time of 55.55.
Erron Holley just missed out on qualifying for the finals of the 100m, running a 10.83 to finish just .04 out of the running, while finishing the same .04 out of the running in the 200m.
The pole vault, which was supposed to be done today, was moved to Sunday. All running finals and the rest of the field events will be completed tomorrow.
