Fayetteville, Ark. -- Missouri Southern senior thrower Nicole Green placed second in the shot put as the Lions sent a trio of athletes to compete at the University of Arkansas today. 

Green was the top division II athlete in the shot put as she hit a distance of 46-10.75, just two inches off of her No. 2 ranked shot put from earlier in the season. 

In other events, Lisa Vengels placed fifth in the high jump with a height of 5-5, while Vanessa Langford was ninth in the pole vault with a height of 11-3.75. 

The Lions will be back in action next weekend, traveling to the University of Nebraska.
