Reynolds 11th/Green 13th in high jump and shot put at Division II Nationals

Turlock, Calif. -- Missouri Southern track and field athletes Corey Reynolds and Nicole Green finished 11th and 13th, respectively in the high jump and the shot put in day two at the 2011 NCAA Division II Outdoor Track and Field Championships today. 

Reynolds hit a height of 6-9.5, to place 11th in the event. He was one of two MIAA athletes to make the national feeld in the high jump as Central Missouri's Chris Millentree placed sixth. 

Green placed 13th in the shot put with a distance of 45-5.75. She was one of four MIAA athletes to make the national finals. 

In other action day one, Aki Nummela narrowly missed qualifying for the finals of the 1,500 meters, finishing just a half a second out of qualifying in 14th. 

The final day of the championships will be tomorrow where Michael Juergens will compete in the pole vault and Lisa Vengels in the high jump.
