Albuquerque, NM -- Nicole Green and Lisa Vengels both earned All-American honors today in the final day of the 2011 NCAA Division II Indoor Track and Field Championships.

Green earns her third All-American honor as she was an All-American in the shot put in both the indoor and outdoor championships last season. This year, she placed fourth with a heave of 49-9.75, just three feet shy of the winning toss.

Vengels earns her first All-American honor as she placed sixth today in the high jump with a height of 5-7.25, just two and a half inches off of the winning jump.

Between the two athletes, the Lions earned eight points as a team, placing 22nd overall in the final team standings.

Southern will now prepare for the outdoor season, opening up at Arkansas on April 2.
