Joplin, Mo. -- Missouri Southern jumper Lisa Vengels broke her own school record, downed a building record and hit an automatic qualifying mark in winning the high jump in the final day of the 2011 Radio Shack Invitational at the Leggett & Platt Athletic Center. 

Vengels hit 5-10 to win the high jump as Rachel Olinyk hit 5-3 to place third. Vengels broke her old school record by nearly three inches and took down the facility record by three centimeters. 

Nicole Green took home another title in the shot put with a provisional throw of 48-04.00, while Kylie Cornman placed fourth in the event. Jasmin Hughes won the 60m dash with a time of 7.81, while Sagan Graskemper and Tia Cook placed fifth and sixth, respectively in the event. JeAnna Sheppard won the 60m hurdles with a time of 9.26, while Vengels was close behind in second with a 9.28. Kasey Meadows and Elizabeth Corcoran were fifth and sixth. 

The Lions finished 1-2-3 in the mile as Victoria Kline raced to a 5:22.95. Olga Bulgurova and Codi Fritchie were second and third. Alex Close and Sheppard placed fourth and fifth in the 400m, while Corcoran was ninth. Vanessa Langford was fourth and hit a provisional in the pole vault with a height of 11-6.25, while Sydne Haase placed sixth. Lindsey Bragg jumped to a distance of 34-02.75 in the triple jump to finish third, while Olinyk and Gayla Booth finished fourth. 

Maggie Tennal placed sixth in the 3k with a time of 11:18.58, while Meadows and Graskemper placed fourth and fifth in the 600 yard. 

Next up for the Lions will be the 2011 MIAA Indoor Track and Field Championships next Friday-Sunday at the University of Central Missouri.
