Lincoln, Neb. -- The Missouri Southern women's track and field team continued its indoor slate today with day one of the University of Nebraska/Holiday Inn Invite at the Bill Devaney Sports Center in Lincoln. 

Ashley Bunch finished fifth in the mile with a time of 18:19.34, while Marlee Tegenkamp was fifth in the 3k with a time of 10:39.22 and Maggie Tennal placed 19th in the event with a time of 11:55.40. Nicole Green placed 11th in the weight throw with a heave of 49 feet, one and a half inch. 

Alex Close was sixth in the 800m with a time of 2:29.73, while Codi Fritchie placed 10th in a time of 2:35.73. Rachel Schrader and Olga Bulgurova placed 8th and 12th in the mile with times of 5:20.43 and 5:27.98, respectively. 

Lisa Vengels (60m hurdles) and Jasmin Hughes (60m dash) both qualified for the finals in their respective events. 

The event will conclude tomorrow at noon.
