Fayetteville, Ark. -- The 19th ranked Missouri
Southern women's cross country program placed 23rd out of 56 teams
today at the prestigious Chili Pepper Invite at the University of
Arkansas in Fayetteville.
A total of 456 runners took part and the Lions were led by
senior Silvia Pineda who placed 84th on the 6k course with a time
of 18:40.29. Sophomore Marlee Tegenkamp was 125th with a time of
19:03.24, while freshman Rachel Schrader ran the course in
19:12.12.
Senior Olga Bulgurova finished in a time of 19:!3.86, while
freshman Nicole French completed the course in a time of 19:28.64.
Senior Victoria Kline ran a time of 19:51.02, while freshman
Michelle Stevens and sophomore Katie Schmidt finished with times of
19:54.38 and 20:07.76, respectively.
The Lions will be back in action on October 22 when Southern
heads to Edwardsville, Ill. to take place in the Southern Illinois
- Edwardsville Cougar Invite.
