Prior to Southern - Ferguson competed at California State Los Angeles from 2019-21 where she was primarily a hurdler... In 2021 competed in four races on the cross country course, had a best time of 27:47.8 over 6,000 meters and finished 85
th in the California Collegiate Athletic Association Championships... In 2020 competed for track and field team in a shortened outdoor season where she had a best mark of 68.46 in the 400 hurdles and also competed on the indoor track and field team and had best marks of 27.36 in the 200, 65.16 in the 400 and 9.43 in the 60 hurdles... In 2019 she finished sixth in the 400 hurdles at the CCAA Championships and was also fourth as part of the 4x400 relay and placed 13
th in the 100 hurdles. Had best times of 14.68 in the 100 hurdles and 63.63 in the 400 hurdles. For the indoor track and field team had best times of 8.31 in the 60, 26.72 in the 200 and 9.15 in the 60 hurdles. Ran for the cross country team in the fall and ran in two races where she had a best time of 23:28.66 over 5,000 meters at the Coyote Challenge on Sept. 21... Prepped at Wilson High School where she was a league champion in the 100 meter hurdles and placed third in the 300 meter hurdles while also running in the teams 4x100 and 4x400 meter relay teams... A team captain for two years and part of the Blazin Bruins travel team for four years.
Personal - Mya is the daughter of Jenna Williams and is a justice studies major at Southern.
