Prepped at Joliet Catholic Acedemy for coach Oscar Valdez where she won ESCC Goalkeeper of the Year in 2019 and 2021. Pasternak was an All-Conference player in 2019 and an IHSSCA All-Sectional Goalkeeper in 2021. She has helped her high school teams to a state runner-ups finish in 2021 and finished fourth in the 2019 season. Pasternak is a member of the A Honor Roll, the National Honor Societys for Art, Spanish and English while being the president of the Art Society. Played for Chicago Rush SC for coach Debbie Rios.
