Four hundred and 68 student-athletes from all 21 MIAA indoor track and field programs were named to the Association's Academic Honor Roll, 51 athletes earned the league's Academic Excellence award and 44 were named Scholar-Athletes.
The league's prestigious Academic Excellence award was achieved by 51 student-athletes (31 women, 20 men) competing in the 2025-26 indoor track and field season. The Academic Excellence award is given to student-athletes who have a grade point average used by the institution for purposes of NCAA academic certification of at least 4.00 at the certifying member institution. The honoree also must have at least two terms of grades reported at the certifying member institution, excluding summer terms.
The Scholar-Athlete distinction went to 44 student-athletes (26 women, 18 men) who excelled in the classroom and on the track. In the classroom, an MIAA Scholar-Athlete is an individual who has a grade point average used by the institution for purposes of NCAA academic certification of 3.50 or better at the certifying member institution, and has at least two terms of attendance at the certifying member institution. The student-athlete must have also earned All-MIAA honors by placing in the top-three in an event at the Association's 2026 Indoor Track and Field Championships to fully achieve MIAA Scholar-Athlete status.
Four hundred and 68 indoor track and field student-athletes (231 men, 237 women) were named to the MIAA Academic Honor Roll. To be recognized on the Academic Honor Roll, one must have a grade point average used by the institution for purposes of NCAA academic certification of 3.00 or above at the certifying member institution. The individual must also have at least two terms of attendance at the certifying member institution, excluding summer terms.
Two hundred thirty-one men received academic awards in the 2025-26 indoor track and field season while 237 women received academic awards in the 2025-26 indoor track and field season.
These 2025-26 indoor track and field academic awards do not include first year student-athletes or first-year transfers. The MIAA will release separate academic awards for its 2025-26 newcomers in June, once the student-athletes have completed at least two terms of attendance at the certifying MIAA member institution.
