JOPLIN, Mo. – Missouri Southern Athletics has announced the date for the 2026 Rod Smith Golf Classic, presented by Crossland Construction. The tournament will be held on Friday, July 17, 2026, at Eagle Creek Golf Course, 2742 Ben Pell Drive.
Registration will officially open on May 1. The deadline to register for the Classic is June 30.
The Rod Smith Golf Classic remains a key summer event supporting Missouri Southern student-athletes and serves as part of the department's year-long Southernfest celebration. The event provides supporters the opportunity to connect with MSSU coaches, staff, student-athletes and fellow Lion fans while investing directly in the success of Missouri Southern Athletics.
The tournament will once again feature a shotgun start and include both traditional scoring and a championship flight option.
